Sprinx supplies Energy management to Van Oord
08-05-2012 | International contractor Van Oord has signed a three-year Energy Management contract with Sprinx for reducing energy usage and the CO2 emissions by its office in Gorinchem. Van Oord is an international contractor specialising in dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects (oil, gas and wind). It aims to improve its energy efficiency by 5% in 2015 compared to 2010.
"We aim to meet this objective primarily by being more efficient with the fuel usage of our ships. This does not mean we will not consider all the fronts on which we can reduce our energy usage,´ says Lonneke Holierhoek, Quality Health Safety & Environment Manager. ´Thanks to the Sprinx energy management system we will be able to realise significant savings in our office in Gorinchem," adds Ben Seekles, Facility Services Manager.
