Mövenpick Hotels Netherlands save energy

21-03-2012 | Mövenpick Hotels Netherlands have signed a three-year performance contract with Sprinx to reduce energy consumption in three of their hotels.

The hotel in The Hague – Voorburg is expected to yield an 8% saving, with 4% in Amsterdam and at least 9% in Den Bosch.

“Mövenpick policy is to introduce the Green Globe certification in all its hotels worldwide. Amsterdam is the first hotel in the Netherlands which achieved this hallmark last year, followed by The Hague – Voorburg and Den Bosch,” notes Richard Vis, Chief Engineer of Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre. “Sprinx’s services and products are a seamless match with this policy and help in fulfilling the Green Globe norms.”

Sprinx previously installed the unique Cheetah Energy Control system in all Mövenpick hotels – a system which saves electricity and air-conditioning in professional kitchens. It also achieves a significant reduction in CO2-emissions.
